The Lincoln Avenue Amtrak underpass remains closed as the Warwick Sewer Authority completes the final link in rehabilitating a section of a line carrying wastewater from an Airport Road collection point to the treatment plant. Upgrades to the main service line that goes under Route 95 were completed more than two years ago. This portion of the network runs under Amtrak and in order to do that work, a bypass has been routed through the underpass. The sewer authority expects the work to be completed by the end of this month. Despite signage, an area business owner reported a persistent flow of frustrated motorists who now have to drive to Coronado Road to get over the tracks. (Cranston Herald photo)
