The 33rd annual Apple Festival returned to Johnston.
The Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce and The Washington Trust Company sponsored the event on Saturday, Sept. 11 and Sunday, Sept. 12 at Johnston Memorial Park.
The time-honored community tradition was free and open to the public. Thousands stopped by throughout the weekend. Parking lots were packed, and cars lined the street.
Vendors sold crafts and fall-themed items. The men and women at booths throughout the park hailed from Johnston and well beyond the town’s and state’s borders.
