Things are looking promising for golf lovers over on Sockanosset Road. The long-awaited Topgolf project will finally be underway after an official groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m. on July 13. Chief of Staff Anthony Moretti said the Topgolf has been a long anticipated project and that construction was supposed to start prior to Covid. The project continued to be put on pause while the facility located on the property was used as a state-run Covid vaccination site.
Topgolf is a sports entertainment company that provides golf games for a range of skill levels, a full service bar and restaurant. Local and state officials will be present at the July 13 event; the city is looking forward to what is to come. (Herald photo)
