Touch a Truck Fundraiser at Garden City
DAY OF DREAMS: The Rotary Club of Cranston held a “touch a truck” fundraiser at Garden City on Sunday May 7. It was here that five-year-old Brea Sanchez got to experience the work of Face Artist Toni Andersen, who decorated the young girl’s cheek with a pokeball. (Photos by Steve Popiel)
FIRE PROTECTION: Feruz Aliboeu (3) wears a real fire helmet while he explores a fire truck beside Ella Shore (also 3) under the careful watch of CPD Officer Carroll to make sure they don’t accidentally fall out of the truck.
BALLOON BONANZA: Jude Jarbeau (2) and his mother Courtney pose with the fantastic Balloon Artist “Antknee” Marrapese, who made Jude his bright green snake.
A DAY OFF: Two fire trucks relax on a day off as they hang out in Garden City and provide a great learning experience for children in attendance.
LINE ‘EM UP: The event provided young children with a chance to be up close and personal with vehicles and machinery that they otherwise may never have a chance to explore. Pictured is a line of trucks ready to be explored.
