With so many trees to pick from, Jonathan and Christina Croiano were surprised when their daughter Gracelyn instantly picked out her favorite from the wide selection at Confreda Farm on Scituate Avenue in Cranston Saturday afternoon. “You’re sure, what about this one?” asked her mother. Initially Gracelyn stuck with her selection, but then as the family looked the trees over she decided she liked them all. Her younger sister Genevieve didn’t voice her opinion. Trees at Confreda range in price from $60 to more than $100 depending on species and height. Here the family makes their selection and Jacob Castro makes sure it is securely fastened on the car top after the trunk is trimmed and it has been wrapped in netting for the trip home.
