The Cranston West boys basketball team won its Division II Preliminary matchup against North Providence last week 65-52.
Jared Olson led the Falcons with a game-high 17 points while Caleb Harris added 14 in the win.
Cam Alves came up big down the stretch for West, scoring 11 second-half points and finishing with a double-double. Andrew Dionizio also chipped in 10 points in the victory, while Joe Ragosta added eight.
Marcio Evora led North Providence with 13 points.
The Falcons squared off against East Greenwich in the Division II Quarterfinals on Tuesday evening, but the results were not available at press time.
East Greenwich cruised past the West girls team 65-50 in its Division I Preliminary matchup, putting an end to the Lady Falcons season.
Julia Robbins led West with 11 points scored, while Kiley Abendroth added 10, Maddie Alves nine and Catherine Albizu eight.
