The West Bay Chorale is presenting their holiday concert on Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. A dramatic reading of The Other Magi by Henry van Dyke will be part of the concert. The music includes three new arrangements of traditional carols by composer Dan Forrest. Peter, Paul and Mary’s Light One Candle and Shalom by Dan Forrest offer hope for peace during this winter season. Norwegian born Ola Gjeilo’s setting of Christina Rossetti’s poem The Rose is a vibrant interpretation reminiscent of the traditional carol Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming. The audience will join the Chorale in singing two traditional carols. The concert concludes with a new arrangement of Silent Night by Dan Forrest. The concert is held at St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick, RI. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Check out the West Bay Chorale Facebook page or website for further information or call 401-751-1525.
