It was an emotional day for the seniors at Cranston High School West on June 3 as they donned their caps and gowns during the second annual Graduation Walks event.
The students boarded buses that would take them back through time and through the doors of their elementary schools. Familiar faces filled the hallways and classrooms and memories flooded back for many who visited their own elementary schools.
For those that did not attend elementary school in Cranston, a visit to the schools would provide them a chance to high-five their elementary school peers as they walked through the halls, marveling at how small everything seemed now, from chairs and desks to lockers. At some schools, children blew bubbles. Others stood holding signs congratulating the seniors or waited for a chance to see a sibling or friend.
