Each year Cranston Public Schools provides information to our community as to who our building and district administrators are. We also highlight those administrators who are new to our district. We are pleased to share this year’s “Who’s Who and Who’s New in Cranston Public Schools.”
Who’s Who CPS Executive Team:
Who’s Who Building Principals:
Who’s New:
Eden Park Elementary School: Welcome to Jennifer Randall, our new Eden Park Elementary School Principal. Jennifer comes to us from a nearby district and has a great deal of experience as both a teacher and administrator. “I am really looking forward to learning more about how our learning communities work at Eden Park,” she said. “I have heard that our teachers are rock stars and I am looking forward to learning from them and being able to share my experiences with Project Based Learning.”
Cranston High School West: We are happy to welcome Jessica Janota, assistant principal, to Cranston West. Jessica comes to us with 16+ years of experience in Texas as a teacher, coach, instructional coach, assistant principal, and curriculum coordinator. She was most recently an academic dean at a charter school in Rhode Island. Jessica is impressed with the community and alumni support at West and eager to start building relationships with students, families, and the community. "You see alumni contributions all over West's campus. I've never seen anything like it and am excited to be part of a school community with so much support," she said.
Edgewood Elementary School: We are happy to announce that Ryan Kavanagh will now be the principal of Edgewood Highland Elementary School. Ryan is not new to Cranston and formerly was the assistant principal at Park View Middle School, the Dean of Students at Park View before that, and has been teaching in our schools since 2003. Ryan is very excited about his new position at Edgewood, and is especially excited about working with the entire Edgewood school community. “I feel that it’s a three-way connection between educators, families and students which helps students succeed in school,” he said.
George J. Peters Elementary School: We are excited to welcome Tara Gianfrancesco to Peters Elementary School this year. Tara comes to us with many years of experience as a teacher and administrator from a neighboring district and is very excited to begin her tenure at Peters. She describes the students as being her “Why,” and looks forward to connecting with the students, staff, and families at Peters. “I thrive on building relationships and I am here to lead and support our teachers, families and students,” she said.
