Clifford A. Yuettner, 90, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was married to his beloved late wife Nancy for 64 years. Born in Providence, he was the oldest child of the late Clifford O. and Mabel Viola (Levesque) Yuettner.
Clifford served in the US Army as a supply handler stationed in Germany followed by five years in the Army Reserve.
He worked as a telephone systems technician for New England Telephone until retiring. He was an avid boater who spent a lot of time on the water with his family over the years. He and his late wife were also avid campers and were members of a local camping group traveling to different campgrounds all over the northeast. They spent much of their retirement living in Alabama before returning home to Rhode Island.
Clifford was the loving father of Cheryl Goulet (Phil), Steven Yuettner, Timothy Yuettner (Lisa), Rebecca Warner (Michael) and the late Keven Yuettner (Jerry Girouard); doting grandfather of nine grandchildren Craig, Marie, Kimberlie, Karl, Bryan, Jessica, Aubrie, Christopher and his beloved late granddaughter Shauna; great-grandfather of seven, and great-great-grandfather of one. He was the brother of Arva Scungio (Al) and William Yuettner (Carolyn). He was deeply loved and will be missed tremendously by all those who knew him.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 28, 11a.m.-1p.m. at Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Interment at RI Veterans Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Dr., Suite 1150 Chicago, IL 60601 will be greatly appreciated.
