The Cranston High School West class of 1965 recently celebrated its 50th reunion. As part of the big event, they participated in a Golden Anniversary Tour of the school, a yearly event run by Assistant Principal John Fontaine, who is himself an alumnus of Cranston West. Golden Anniversary Tours have been running at the school for the past three years, with Fontaine facilitating them for the past two. According to Fontaine, the tours each year are just as rewarding for the student tour guides as they are for the alumni participants, and make for a special memory for all involved.
