ASSAULT
Officer Smith arrested Valeria Schiappa, 42, of 50 Birch St. # 200 in Cranston on July 17 at 1:14 a.m. for domestic simple assault. The arrest was the result of a disturbance at the aforementioned address. She was held for arraignment in the morning.
On July 14 at 2:40 a.m., Officer Smith arrested Jorge Morales, 31, of 50 Brownell St. in Warwick, for simple assault/battery, resisting legal or illegal arrest and disorderly conduct following a disturbance in the roadway at 77 Mason Ave. He was held overnight awaiting arraignment in the morning.
BREAKING AND ENTERING
On July 13 at 10:53 p.m., Officers Cragin and McCoy arrested Wendy Bruce, 36, of 368 Armistice Blvd. in Pawtucket, for domestic breaking and entering. The arrest is the result of a suspicious activity call at 100 Second Ave. She was held overnight awaiting arraignment in the morning.
DISORDERLY
Belinda Suell, 54, of 245 Legion Way in Cranston was arrested on July 15 just after midnight by Sergeant Rutkiewicz for domestic disorderly conduct. The arrest was the result of a disturbance at the intersection of Legion Way and Pershing St. She was held for arraignment in the morning.
As a result of a bike patrol on the bike path near 1422 Park Ave. on July 14 at approximately 6:45 p.m. Officer Afonso and Lt. Jennings arrested Moises Leonardo, 24, of 645 Douglas Ave. Apt. #3 in Providence, for disorderly conduct. He was held as a violator.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Officer Travers arrested Matthew Wilkes, 31, of 2 Arbor Drive in Providence, for under the influence first offense and refusal to submit to a chemical test. His arrest is the result of observing a male subject passed out in the driver seat of a vehicle at the intersection of Broad St. and Norwood Ave. He was held overnight awaiting arraignment in the morning.
OBSTRUCTION
Bryant Martinez, 27, of 3137 Rorer St. in Philadelphia, was arrested on July 14 at approximately 8:15 p.m. by Officers Travers and Troiano for obstructing an officer in execution of duty as a result of a motor vehicle stop. He was held for arraignment by a justice of the peace.
POSSESSION
On July 14 at approximately 7:37 p.m., Officer Corvese arrested John Massenzio, 37, of 427 Tiffany Ave. in Warwick for two counts of possession of Schedule I-V drug as a result of a motor vehicle stop. He was held for arraignment by a justice of the peace. RESISTING
On July 15 at 1:14 a.m. Officer Carroll and Sergeant Rutkiewicz arrested Christopher Harris, 25, of 32 Hilldale Ln., in Tennessee for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and simple Assault following a motor vehicle stop in the lot of St. Paul’s Church at 389 Greenwich Ave. He was held for arraignment.
VIOLATION OF PROTECTIVE ORDER
Officer Russell arrested John Turner Jr., 28, of 660 Knotty Oak Road in Coventry on July 14 at 11:50 p.m. for violation of a protection order. The arrest was the result of Rhode Island State Police turning him over to Cranston on an affidavit and arrest warrant. He was held overnight awaiting arraignment.
Det. Sgt. Sweeney and Det. Iacone arrested Kyle Roots, 29, of 99 Russo St. in Providence for one count of violation of a no contact order and one count of possession of arms by a convicted felon in crime of violence. His arrest was a result of an investigation at 925 Pontiac Ave, the Willow Brook Apartments. He was then held for arraignment.
WARRANT
On July 17 at 2:18 a.m., Officer Sirois arrested Christopher McCarthy, 30, of 188 Clarence St. Apt. # 2 in Cranston for a Superior Court bench warrant. The arrest was the result of a call for a suspicious person walking in the area of Clarence St. and Grace St. He was later transported to the ACI Intake.
Officers Travers and Corvese arrested Jose Gomes, 31, who is homeless, on July 14 at approximately 3:30 p.m. for a Superior Court warrant as a result of a call for service at 204 Garfield Ave. He was later transported to the ACI Intake.
Matthew Fagundo, 33, of 1 Metcalf Ave. in North Providence was arrested on July 11 at 1:34 a.m. by Officer Russell on a bench warrant issued from 6th District Court. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Laurel Hill Ave. and Bracken St. He was transported to the ACI Intake.
