The Cranston West girls’ volleyball team advanced all the way to the Division II semifinals this year, and they were rewarded for their consistent play during the season by the Rhode Island Volleyball Coaches’ Association last week.
Three Falcons were named to All-Division teams. Senior setter Lauren Salisbury led the way with a first-team nod, while Alexis Mirabile earned second-team honors and Lexi Tella was named third team. Salisbury was also named to the All-Tournament team for her postseason performance.
Cranston East also reached the semifinals and has its share of accolades to show for its season. Paula Frost was named Second-Team All-Division, plus All-tournament, while Emma Jutras also was Second-Team All-Division. Amanda Rosa earned a third team nod.
Also of note, as a unit East earned the Division II-South Sportsmanship Award.
