Residents and staff at the 315 Park Ave. apartments on Saturday gathered to celebrate the upcoming 100th birthday of resident Joseph Joly. A resident of Cranston for more than 80 years, Joly – whose birthday is June 2 – attributed his longevity to “good women, good booze, good food and good family.” He received a citation from the city, several gifts and notes, and two birthday cakes – one decorated with an image of himself at age 24.
