To the Editor:
I went to the meeting concerning the sewers Thursday night, Sept 16. This meeting was a sham. Our mayor should have called this meeting before he signed the OK to go ahead.
When I said that to him his reply was that he did. If he did we would all have been there to protest what he was doing. He never contacted anyone about a meeting. There are less than 40 homes that need help with cesspools and over 800 who do not. The mayor and Ladouceur had their minds made up.
There was proof that septic systems could replace their cesspools at a lower price and not have to put in sewers that are going to be a hardship for so many of us. This went on deaf ears.
I have lost all respect for our mayor as he proved he does not care what we want or really need. This is all what him and Ladouceur want. Shame on them both. They will not have my vote on the next election, not that either one cares.
