CONSPIRACY

At 2:41 p.m., June 10, Cranston Police Officers arrested Zia Simon, 32, of 75 Paddock Road, Apt. 1500, Bridgewater, Massachusetts, for Shoplifting, Conspiracy, and Possession of Schedule I-V Drug (less than 10g). The arrest is the result of a call for service at Bob’s Store, 1400 Oaklawn Ave. Simon was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.

Police also arrested Carley Pierre-Louis, 24, of 11 Hollis St., Randolph, Massachusetts, for Shoplifting and Conspiracy. Pierre-Louis was also arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.

DOMESTIC DISORDERLY

Around 11 p.m., June 9, Cranston Police Officers arrested Zachary Hebert, 30, of 111 Harris Ave., Apt. 1L, Cranston, for domestic disorderly conduct. The arrest was a result of a disturbance at the aforementioned location. Herbert was held for morning arraignment.

SEX OFFENDER
ADDRESS CHANGE

At 10:38 p.m., June 9, Cranston Police Officers arrested Sean Skipper, 47, of 30 Howard Ave., Cranston for sex offender address change. The arrest occurred as a result of him surrendering at Cranston Police Headquarters. Skipper was held for morning arraignment.

DOMESTIC SIMPLE ASSAULT

At 9:46 p.m., June 8, Cranston Police Officers Dagnese and McCoy arrested Diana Trevino, 29, of 95 Lakeside Ave., Cranston for Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct as a result of a disturbance at the aforementioned residence. Trevino was held for morning arraignment.

SIMPLE ASSAULT

Around 10:04 a.m., June 8, Cranston Police Officers arrested Janerik Hidalgo, 19, of 1551 Cranston St., Cranston, for Domestic Simple Assault and Simple Assault. The arrest was the result of a call for service at the aforementioned address. Hidalgo was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace.

BENCH WARRANT

Around 12:03 a.m., June 8, Cranston Police Officers arrested Jonathan Torres, 27, of 26 Florida Ave, Cranston for a 3rd District Court Bench Warrant as a result of a traffic stop on Reservoir Avenue. Torres was transported to Men’s Intake at the ACI.

RESISTING ARREST

At 11:59 p.m., June 7, Cranston Police Officers arrested Sean Markey, 52, of 17 Lockmere Road, Cranston, for Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Arrest as a result of a disturbance at McShawn’s Pub, 1336 Cranston St. Markey was held for morning arraignment.

ANIMAL CRUELTY

Around 9:01 p.m., June 6, Cranston Police Officers arrested Victor Alvarez, 47, of 46 Concord Ave., Cranston, for an A&A out of our department for one count of Animal Cruelty, according to Cranston Police. The arrest was the result of an attempted warrant pickup at the aforementioned address. Alvarez was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released.

FRAUDULENT CHECKS

Around 3:34 p.m., June 5, Cranston Police Officers arrested Patricia Ward, 44, of 79 B East Main St., Jewett City, Connecticut, for one count of Fraudulent Checks (over $1,500) and one count of Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance (under 10 grams, 1st Offense). The arrest was the result of a suspicious activity call at Citizen's Bank, 5 Garden City Drive. Ward was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.

FAILURE TO
RELINQUISH TELEPHONE

Around 5:51 p.m., June 5, Cranston Police Officers arrested Brendon Perkins, 24, of 143 Hoffman Ave., Apt. 204, Cranston, for one count of Domestic-Refusal/Failure to Relinquish Telephone, one count of Domestic-Simple Assault/Battery, and one count of Domestic Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of a disturbance call at his home address. Perkins was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE

Around 5:51 p.m., June 5, Cranston Police Officers arrested Isaiah Vazquez, 23, of 107 Woodbine St., Apt. 3, Cranston, for being a Fugitive from Justice on an extraditable warrant out of Attleboro, Massachusetts. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Pontiac Avenue and Beckwith Street. Vazquez was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and transported to ACI Intake.

DOMESTIC KIDNAPPING
&
ASSAULT BY STRANGULATION

At 8:10 A.M., June 5, Cranston Police Officers arrested Jason Palmer, 25, of 21 Pleasant St., Apt. 4, Cranston, for domestic kidnapping, domestic assault by strangulation, domestic simple assault, domestic disorderly conduct and domestic refusal to relinquish telephone. The arrest occurred after the suspect surrendered at the Cranston Police Headquarters. Palmer was transported to District Court.

OBSTRUCTING OFFICER

At 3:10 a.m., June 4, Cranston Police Officers arrested Samantha M. Carfora, 30 of 25 Buck Road, Middletown, for obstructing and officer in execution of duty, resisting illegal or legal arrest and six Superior Court Full Bench Warrants. The arrest occurred following a report of an unwanted individual at 62 Beacon St.

SHOPLIFTING

At 4:26 p.m., April 4, Warwick Police responded to Target at the Warwick Mall, 400 Bald Hill Road, for the report of a shoplifting in progress.

Store security contacted police after detaining a “cooperative female who had just shoplifted.”

Ultimately, security told police that for this incident, they didn’t want to press charges, just have police issue the suspect, identified as a Cranston woman, a no trespass order from the store.

According to store security, the suspect had allegedly shoplifted from the store numerous times, and security had been documented the incidents. The report and surveillance footage were turned over to police for further investigation.

The store turned over documentation tied to seven “past unreported shopliftings” (five of which could be substantiated) involving the suspect, including an itemized list of stolen items.

Asset protection also handed an “admission statement,” which store security allegedly “received” from the suspect while she remained at the scene. The woman allegedly admitted to “the theft of $205.97 of various merchandise through skip scanning,” Warwick Police Officer Sara L. Goes wrote in the incident report.

The five dates spanned between Feb. 7 and March 29 of this year. The alleged total amount “stolen and not recovered” totaled $140.27.

Store security told police that the suspect “selects items off the shelves and ‘skip scans’ at the register every time,” according to the report.

Police identified the suspect as Donna L. Rimay, 63, of 103 Woodmont Drive, Cranston. Police issued arrest warrants for five counts of Shoplifting.

On April 22, Rimay turned herself in on the warrants for misdemeanor Shoplifting. She was taken into custody, searched and booked.
