Pollinator Expo brings together gardeners, conservationists

The 2024 Pollinator Expo was held by the Warwick Wildlife and Conservation Commission on September 28th at Clouds Hill Victorian House Museum. More than 100 pollinator enthusiasts heard Casey Johnson, research Associate from URI’s Department of Plant Science and Entomology and Liz Camps the State Agrono mist for the USDA Natural Recourse Conservation Service speak about the importance of pollinators.

This event included booths from the Audubon Society, RI Wild plants society, URI Master Gardeners and several Wildlife and Conservation Commissioners along with others and bountiful of information. was distributed. Milkweed pods and pollinator seeds were also given away. A map of Warwick allowed attendees to mark their own pollinator garden locations so that the Commission can work on a Pollinator Pathway project in the future.
