TIME SERVED: On Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, Cranston Police Department gathered at Cranston City Hall to celebrate three promotions, swear in six new officers and recognize a dispatcher who retired after 33 years of service. The following officers were promoted: Lt. Anthony Sassone McHugh, Sgt. Anthony Massimino and Sgt. Andrew “Wayne” Decosta. The new Officers who took the oath of office administered by Mayor Kenneth Hopkins are: Officers Justin Patalano, Aiden Reardon, Kenneth Alexander, Michael DiOrio, Kyle Higgins and Bethany Trombino. Dispatcher Stephen Pecchia, who retired last year, was presented with a shadow box recognizing his 33 years of exemplary service to the Cranston Police Department and the citizens of Cranston. The CPD wished their recently promoted ranking officers, new officers, and Pecchia, a big “Congratulations to all!”
