Rhode Island Youth Theatre, an award-winning, nonprofit theatre company is now accepting registrations for Shrek the Musical Jr., the first show of its 35th anniversary year. The theatre is seeking youths ages 7 to 17. Registration is available at www.RIYT.org. For scholarship information contact Ann O’Grady at (ann@riyt.org)
Casting will take place Friday, Nov. 26th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rocky Hill Grange, 1340 South County Trail, in East Greenwich. All students are cast in roles throughout the show.
For those who cannot attend the casting session in person, the theatre is offering video-based audition options.
Rehearsals start November 27th at Rocky Hill Grange. Performances will be Jan. 8 and 9 at Narragansett High School.
