The Cranston Police Department has been named one of 12 winners nationally in the U.S. Department of Justice Community Oriented Policing Service’s 2019 photo contest. The image the department submitted shows officers Brenda Sirois, Andrea Comella, Ashley Hardy and Rebekah Neri during a visit with a young cancer patient at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. “Their visit, time and generosity was another example of the watching and caring spirit that makes our department stand apart from the rest,” the department said in a social media post. The 12 selected photos will appear in the print and electronic publications from the Department of Justice throughout 2019. To learn more, visit cops.usdoj.gov/photocontest.
