Edward and Cynthia Aubin of North Pearson Dr., Warwick, announce the engagement of their daughter, Taylor Oliver Aubin, to James Peter Rush, son of George and Constance (Simonini) Rush of Colorado.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of LaSalle Academy and the University of Rhode Island. She is a speech pathologist assistant in Douglas County, Colorado.
The groom-to-be is a graduate of Grandview High School in Aurora, Colorado and Metropolitan State University of Denver. He is employed by Oppenheimer Funds in Centennial, Colorado.
In Rhode Island fashion with a couple thousand miles thrown in between, the groom's cousin has been the bride's best friend since they were in school at St. Peter's together. Five years ago Jamie came to visit his family in Rhode Island, where they met on a night out. After exchanging numbers before his flight back, a couple months of phone calls and another visit to Rhode Island, they started a long distance relationship. Eight months later after a visit, Taylor moved out to Colorado Springs, where they continued to date with only a hundred miles between them. They now live in Denver with their cat, Junior.
They are excited to spend the day with all their friends and family. With all of the vendor options available and "big businesses," they are happy to be able to work with small local vendors, most of whom the bride grew up with. They are planning their wedding on October 20, 2017 at St. Peter’s Church and Harbor Lights.
