The popular stage play, “To Gillian on her 37th Birthday,” was brought to the screen starring Peter Gallagher, Kathy Baker and Claire Danes. Star Trek: First Contact was the new generation’s time, with Patrick Stewart playing Capt. Jean-Luc Picard.
Betty Nolan and Dennis Bouchard of Cranston starred in Academy Player’s “Babes in Arms.”
The Odeum had Ocean State Follies, the National Shakespeare Company, and jazz pianist Dave McKenna, plus an Extravaganza of Bluegrass and Folk Music during the month of November.
A to Z Productions brought Broadway stars to Rhodes on the Pawtuxet for an array of Broadway tunes.
