To the Editor:

With regard to Mike Lester’s political cartoon which appeared in the ProJo on Dec. 11, apparently he believes President Trump invented presidential pardons. Lester would do well for himself to take out a few books from his local library on the subject of presidential pardons. He might learn a lot.

I’d suggest Lester start with the final days of the Clinton administration when the president gave a get-out-of-jail-free card to Marc Rich. But of course, why should we expect a member of the mainstream media to allow the facts to get in the way of a good story?
