Well, let's see. People are crying now about proposed cuts that will hardly put a dent in the budget. We are just a few dollars under 20 TRILLION dollars in debt. When our debt crushes our economy, these feel good programs will be long forgotten. People will be actually dying because there will be no more money to provide. Think Greece. How people don't think this is going to happen is beyond me. Our grandkids will hate us for what we are doing. States like RI, woefully unprepared for even a hiccup in federal funding, will fail quickly. While Warwick is financially well run, for the most part, it will be unable to survive a financial tsunami that will make the great recession of 2008/2009 look like the good old days. So go ahead and complain about these relatively minor budget cuts. Hopefully, our grandkids will hold commissions and name names to be forever recorded as the reason our great country failed.
