One cannot join the military if you have any condition(s) which require constant treatment or excessive accommodation; that's why people with asthma, diabetes, permanent STD's / STI's (like HIV), people with cancer or a recurring history of cancer and individuals with physical disabilities can't serve, except in special cases where a waiver is issued.

Gender Dysmorphics require hormone replacement therapy, psychiatric care during transition, and if they elect to get surgery it takes 2-4 years to recover to the point of being ready to deploy; they are also at a higher risk of infection for the rest of their lives which complicates any attempt to send them to the field to train or go overseas because good hygiene often isn't possible because there is no pristine environment, to say the least.

An overseas deployment also puts one at risk of not being able to obtain hormone replacement, which leads to withdrawal and hormone imbalances as well as physical health problems. For these reasons, not to mention important things which civilians don't and can't understand like unit readiness and morale, diabetics, cancer patients and individuals with physical and mental disabilities, including dysmorphics, cannot be accommodated.

I also don't need to see any more taxpayer dollars wasted on someone else's personal choice.

Sorry if logic and reason offends anyone...wait...no I'm not.
