Well we all know how well the school to prison pipeline task force worked in Broward County in Florida. Nikolas Cruz that had contact with police over 2 dozen times, wasn't allowed on school grounds with a back pack and had other issues that were kept off his record shot up the school killing 17 and wounding many others.

There is always the line somewhere in the article "we must do something". Why "we" how about the parents or guardians? It is not the government's/tax payer's responsibility to get your kids on the bus or to school on time.

As far as equity in education, take the funds the state has for education divide by the number of students in the state, issue vouchers in that amount. This is called elementary school division. What could possibly be more equitably than that?
