Report Inappropriate Comments

In 2007, a bill was passed that required civics education to be added to the curricula of Rhode Island schools. It amazes me that a member of the school committee sees civics as unrelated to education. For many students, the banner issue might have been the most educational event to occur during the entire school year. Anything that happens during a person's life is educational. It doesn't have to come from a textbook or be spoon-fed.
