Lineup set for '80s themed concert at Cranston Stadium

An official lineup is now set for Cranston Stadium’s first ever concert, which will be a 1980s-themed night of music put on by Cranston-based rapper Terry McEnaney, also known as Bobby Braciola.

The concert will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15 (with a rain date of Saturday), with the doors to Cranston Stadium opening at 6:00 p.m. Food will be served by Ciara, an Italian restaurant in Johnston, and beer and wine will also be available for purchase.

The lineup includes: The ’Ettes from Cranston West at 6:30, a Lipsync/Rhyme battle at 7:00, The Senders at 7:30, Ricky Rodge at 8:45, DJ Eddie the Fixer at 9:30, and World Premiere at 10:00 to close out the show. McEnaney’s ‘Bobby Braciola’ character will MC the event and do a set sometime later in the night.

The concert will be set up between the 40-yard lines on the field, with the crowd seated on the press box side of the stadium. PMA engineering will do the sound, light, and musical engineering for the show.

Both McEnaney and his partner Bobby Nicholson said it will be an adult show, but all ages are welcomed and they are trying to make it a “fun, family-friendly” night for people from all around the state of Rhode Island.

Part of the proceeds for the show will go to the non-profit “Jayce the Healer.” Jayce Sherman was 18 months old when he drowned in a pool. His family, namely his mother Karla, has used that tragedy to raise funds and awareness of water safety, especially for underprivileged kids, in an attempt to prevent tragedies like Jayce’s from happening to anyone else.
