Barbara J. Cole, RN, 85, died Sunday, May 18, 2014. She was the beloved wife of John J. Cole.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Clark M. and Lillian M. (Holmes) Potter, she had been a resident of Cranston for most of her life. Mrs. Cole was a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Home in Providence for 26 years.
She is survived by her son, Gregory C. Brierley and his wife, Teresa, of Sterling, Connecticut; grandchildren Melissa Skollingberg, Gregory C. Brierley II, Winston C. Brierley and Christina Houle. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Doris Gannon, the late Marjorie Soares, Lillian LaPardo, Mildred Paolino and Peter Potter.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, May 23, 4-7 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Interment will be private. Information and condolences, visit QuinnFuneralHome.com
