This year’s American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life became Lights of Hope in Cranston, and was held April 29 at the Bain Middle School track.
Hundreds of people turned out for the two-hour event, which featured luminarias along the track. This gathering was dedicated to Wanda Susan DeRouin, a Cranston teacher who was always a fixture at Relay For Life events in the city.
At the event, families and community members took time to remember others who lost their lives to cancer and celebrate those still fighting the battle.
