On Thursday, Oct. 25, Arlington Elementary hosted nearly 50 students and their families at their Family Health Fair. Attendees learned about nutrition, asthma and ways to stay fit and healthy. The children were given bike helmets for free from the Cranston Police Department.

"I would like to thank all the vendors and also Robin Gervase and the Cranston Family Center staff for all their hard work at making this a successful event," said Arlington Principal Michelle David.

The vendors included Cranston Public School Nurse Deb Stivil, Sanford and Brown provided blood pressure screenings, CCAP for dental and health information, Cranston Public Library, URI's nutrition program, Coastway Bank, Rhode Island Hospital for asthma awareness, United Health, samples from Cabot cheese and Rhody Fresh Milk, Cranston Family Center (COZ) and Cranston Police were passing out free bicycle helmets and providing free child ID photos. There was also the music van from Y on the Move. They were in the parking lot playing music as families arrived.
