Cranston is getting a brand new restaurant to satisfy their barbeque cravings. The Carolina Barbeque Company, located at 1255 Reservoir Avenue, is an original, with Brian Ahlquist, the sole owner, designing and planning the restaurant himself. Ahlquist hopes to provide customers with a unique barbeque experience, serving pulled pork, ribs, and brisket that is all smoked on-site daily as well as all the sides you could ask for. They also have three different homemade BBQ sauces to slather onto their meaty meals. They currently employ 20 people and are not associated with any other restaurants. Pictured at the official ribbon cutting are Brian Ahlquist (owner), Cameron Ahlquist, Ben Ahlquist, Mayor Allan Fung, Chelsea Ahlquist and Renee Ahlquist. (Herald photo by Steve Popiel)
