(BPT) - Many ramen fans are asking, “Wasn’t Cup Noodles always microwavable?” Recently, noodle fans nationwide were shocked to hear that they had been cooking their favorite meal incorrectly since 1973.
The classic, instant ramen brand sets the record straight as its iconic cup is now available in a paper cup — officially ready for the microwave. To help spread this news, Cup Noodles teamed up with The Office comedian Craig Robinson with a funny take on a PSA.
“Cup Noodles got me through college, so I was very surprised to find out that I’ve been cooking my noodles wrong in the microwave for all those years,” said Robinson. “I know I’m not the only one out there doing this too, so I was excited to team up with Cup Noodles and share the news of their microwavable, paper cup packaging.”
While Cup Noodles fans may be rethinking their past cooking habits, the new paper cup will make it even more convenient to eat — taking just 2 minutes and 15 seconds to cook in the microwave.
