ASSAULT

Officer Sullivan arrested Tha Bunn, 36, of 132 Garden St. in Cranston on Aug. 23 at 8:25 a.m. for violation of a no contact order, domestic simple assault, refusal to relinquish a telephone and larceny. The arrest is the result of subject turning himself in on a Cranston Police warrant, and he was transported to the Third District Court. 

On Aug. 21 at approximately 4:30 p.m. Officer Casaceli, Corvese, A. Hardy, Brown, Comella, Murray and Sgt. Josefson arrested Jose Melgar Jr., 20, of 103 Wales St., Cranston, for felony assault and disorderly conduct. The arrest was the result of a call for a large disturbance at Laurel Hill and Elwyn Street. He was held as a violator. Police also arrested Amy Clowery, 41, of 75 Elwyn St. in Cranston; Bianca Cabral, 19, of 27 Furlong St. Apt No. 2 in Cranston; and Steven Raso, 22, of 86 Oxford St. in Cranston, each for simple assault and disorderly conduct.

DISORDERLY

Elio Simas, 34, of 42 Frances Ave., second floor, was arrested on Aug. 26 at 11:22 p.m. by Officer Murray for disorderly conduct. The arrest was the result of a disturbance at the aforementioned address. He was held for arraignment in the morning.

On Aug. 22 at approximately 10:00 p.m. Officers D. Dempsey and Casaceli arrested Andre Ross, 23, of 133 Suffolk Ave. No. 2 in Pawtucket for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. The arrest was the result of a self-initiated suspicious person contact at the McDonald’s at 923 Cranston St. He was arraigned by a justice of the peace.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Inspector Decosta arrested Craig Balme, 50, of 118 Colvintown Road in Coventry on Aug. 21 at 8:06 a.m. for driving under the influence first offense  His arrest was the result of a traffic stop on Hope Road. He was issued a Third District Court Summons to appear and transported to RI Hospital due to his blood alcohol content.

EXPIRED LICENSE

On Aug. 25 at 9:21 a.m. Officer Lang arrested Guillermo Dedios, 51, of 25 Gefford St. first floor in Providence, for an expired license fourth offense. His arrest is the result of a motor vehicle stop at Webster and Franklin avenues.

FORGERY

! At 9:54 a.m. on Aug. 21, Officer Comella arrested Erin Burton, 52, of 477 Pine St. in Providence for forgery and passing of a counterfeit certificate. Her arrest is the result of subject turning herself in on a Cranston Police warrant. She was transported to Third District Court.

SEX OFFENDER ADDRESS CHANGE

Officer Sullivan arrested John Wyche, 62, of 414 Pine St. in Providence for a sex offender address change on August 23 at 12:01 p.m. His arrest is the result of subject turning himself in on a Cranston Police warrant. Wyche was held for arraignment pending the arrival of a Justice of the Peace.

SHOPLIFTING

On Aug. 27 at 1:23 p.m. Officer Russell arrested Carlos Webster, 44, of 1068 Chalkstone Ave. in Providence, for shoplifting. His arrest is the result of a call for service at the Kmart located at 296 Garfield Ave. He was held for arraignment pending arrival of a justice of the peace.

At approximately 3:35 p.m. on Aug. 21, Officer Comella arrested Joseph Nicholson, 30, of 171 Chestnut Hill Ave. in Cranston, for shoplifting. The arrest was the result of a call for service at the Stop & Shop at 204 Garfield Ave. He was held as a violator.

VANDALISM

Officer C. Dempsey arrested Loretta Mercurio, 64, of 21 Lodge St., in Cranston, for vandalism on Aug. 27 at 1:42 p.m. Her arrest is the result of a call for service at 24 Lodge St. Mercurio was then held for arraignment.

WARRANTS

At approximately 1:15 a.m. on Aug. 26, Officer Leclair arrested Shane Warren, 40, of 30 Howard Ave. in Cranston for a Superior Court Bench Warrant. The arrest was a result of a compliance check at Harrington Hall.  Warren was then transported to the ACI. On Aug. 25 at 7:50 p.m. Officer Murray arrested Marvin Abercrombie, 28, of 141 Oak St. in Providence for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant as a result of a traffic stop on Cranston St. He was transported to Men’s Intake at the ACI. Officer Casaceli arrested Shannon Godbout, 33, of 45 Blue Pond Trail in Hopkinton, for two active Superior Court bench warrants on April 22 at approximately 1:26 a.m. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Oaklawn Ave. and New London Ave. Godbout was transported to the Women’s Intake Center at the ACI.  On Aug. 21 at approximately 4:30 p.m. Officer Murray arrested Neal Clarke, 34, of 191 Garden St. Apt No. 105 in Cranston, for a Cranston Police Warrant for violation of a protective order. The arrest was the result of picking him up from Providence Police who arrested Neal on the warrant charge.
