Saturday, October 21, brought a spooky Halloween themed act to the Blue Room,2197 Broad St, by performer Margot Channing. Taking the stage to provide the audience with music and entertainment that included classics like “The Purple People Eater,” the theme song from “The Addams Family” and the self-written “Quarantine Blues,” Margoh Channing sang her heart out while accompanied by Piano Player Yaz Fukuoka.
Margoh, a character portrayed by Bill Shea, was the perfect touch to a celebration of Halloween and just one of the many shows put on the Blue Room every week. Which isn’t saying much, because while open Tuesday through Sunday the Blue Room puts on anywhere from 12 to 20 shows a week.
However, Margoh was not alone that night, sharing the stage, if not the spotlight, with band Salter’s Grove who held their own as they played their own show for those in the venue. (Cranston Herald photos by Steve Popiel)
