To the Editor,

The Pawtuxet River is basically overflow from the Scituate Reservoir. If the reservoir water level was lowered when the forecast was for 2” – 4” of rain PRIOR to scheduled rain forecast, the low reservoir would mean a lower river. When 4” of rain filled the reservoir, then the river would reach a normal to high. Maybe a lot of disasters could be avoided. This sounds like a simple solution. So, my question is, can and should this have been done? I hope someone can answer this.
Thanks,
George Gervais
