On May 23, the Cranston Police and Fire departments took part in the second annual Chief’s Challenge charity basketball game at Cranston High School East to support Special Olympics Rhode Island. For the second year, police took home the Chief’s Trophy, topping the firefighters 42-40 in overtime. Approximately $1,000 was raised during the event.
