Rotary hosts Touch A Truck

OLDIE BUT GOODIE: Alexander Clesas, 4, sat on the running board of a 1930 Ford Model A, which was a gift to Bob Tasca Sr. from his children on his 65th birthday. It is currently owned by Bob Tasca Jr. and was a draw during the Cranston Rotary Touch A Truck event.

The Cranston Rotary Club sponsored its Spring Touch A Truck event near the Gazebo at Garden City Center over the weekend. Children were able to see and explore a variety of trucks and vehicles, including police, fire safety and construction vehicles. The Cranston Police K-9 Unit provided a demonstration, a children enjoyed face painting and balloon animals. Newport Creamery ice cream and Legal Sea Bar chowder was provided. The event was sponsored by Tasca, Lisa Pagano at Albert Realtors and Garden City Center.
