PROPOSED ORDINANCES 01-24-02 AND 01-24-03 IN AMENDMENT OF TITLE 5 OF THE CITY OF CRANSTON CODE OF ORDINANCES, 2005, ENTITLED
“Business Licenses and Regulations”
The City is proposing amendments to Title 5 “Business Licenses and Regulations”. The purpose of the Code Amendments is to add chapters and sections to Title 5 which would require SHORT-TERM LENDERS to be licensed with the City of Cranston
ORDINANCE 01-24-02
It is ordained by the City Council of the City of Cranston as follows:
Section 1. Title 5 (Business Licenses and Regulations) is hereby amended by adding the following Chapter and Sections:
Chapter 5, Section 5.57 – SHORT-TERM LENDERS
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its final adoption

The purpose of this amendment will set forth the definitions, license requirements, application requirements, license term and fees, miscellaneous requirements, maintenance of records; annual reports, approval, denial, suspension or revocation of a license, and violations and penalties.

It is ordained by the City of Cranston City Council as follows:
Section 1. Title 5, Chapter 04, Section 100 (Fees for Licenses, Permits and Recordings) is hereby amended by adding the following:

The purpose of this amendment is to set forth the annual fee for a Short-Term Lender License.
