The Cookie Tray is the creation of owner Jennifer Sorrentino, in partnership with her husband David. Celebrating its grand opening this past weekend, The Cookie Tray is the perfect place to find an incredible selection of Italian cookies, cupcakes and chocolates. Each decadent treat is made with the finest, freshest and highest quality ingredients, including all of their fruits, nuts, chocolates and preserves. There are no shortcuts in this kitchen.
Jennifer Sorrentino is the granddaughter of an Italian "Nonna" who is the source of many of her most treasured recipes. She is also the daughter of Lisa Corrente and the niece of her aunt Silvana Klara, both lifelong bakers with whom she has baking side by side for over 25 years. Their combined experience, passion and taste for perfection all inspired Jennifer to open this cheerful, inviting and positively delightful shop on Killingly Street. It may have all begun in Italy, but now all that magic is right here for you in Johnston.
The Cookie Tray sells delectable delights such as authentic, traditional Italian cookies (Egg biscuits, Spumoni, Coconut Macaroons, Cherry slices, Prune slices, Pizzelles, Anginetti cookies, Biscotti and Wine biscuits - to name a few) and the ever-popular cupcakes. Sorrentino has 50 varieties of cupcakes which can be custom-ordered for your next special family celebration. Jennifer's "signature cupcake," affectionately known as "A Trip to Italy", is a sinful combination of homemade limoncello, fresh buttermilk and lemon curd filling. She even has a delicious Italian buttercream frosting that will have you licking your fingers. Sweet and savory crepes will also be served and to top it off, there will even be an Espresso bar!

The Cookie Tray will deliver cookies to your next family gathering, including holy communions, graduation parties, birthday celebrations, wedding and baby showers, bereavement get-togethers and any other special occasion. Custom orders must be made with 24 to 48 hours notice.
