Joy Homestead held its first class session on Oct. 20, with 26 students from Kate Myette’s third-grade class at Glen Hills Elementary School in attendance. Throughout the school year, several schools will journey to the Homestead, a historical building in Cranston, to learn more about life in the 1700s. Above, Lydia Rapoza of the Homestead speaks about daily life at that time along with Nathan Manning, a student from Glenn Hills.
