Alexis Florio is the best golfer in Cranston, and she showed it again on the links this year.
Florio took fourth place in the girls’ championship, finishing with an 84 on a wind-swept, misty day at Newport Country Club. She then took her talents to Cranston Country Club for the overall state championship, where she ended in a tie for 28th out of a field of more than 120 golfers.
Add this season’s results to her sixth-place finish as a freshman and Florio has made herself a top name to watch for the next couple years.
