William T. Ruggieri (57), of Warwick, RI, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024. Known to his friends as ‘The Onion’, a longtime laborer for the Laborers Union #271 and the son of Thomas M. Ruggieri (Millie) and Dale Feldon Ruggieri.
William was the oldest brother of Doug Ruggieri (Sasha) and Thomas ‘TJ’ Barrette (Trish); stepbrother to Lori Lallier (Paul), Amy Cota (John), Rob Hagen (Vanessa); and the cherished ‘Uncle Onion’ of Sofia and Dylan Ruggieri, Kaleb Hagen and Alivia Cota. He also leaves his Aunt Carol (Bob), Uncle Jack (Meri), many cousins and his companion, Michelle Soltys.
William was always ready with a joke or a good one-liner. He loved to play pool, golf, shoot darts and enjoy a good meal. He is now reunited with his beloved dog, Buzz, who he treasured for many years.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial will immediately follow in Pawtuxet Memorial Park. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 4 to 7pm.
